Your photos and generated videos

Choosing a photo prepares a local preview. When you submit a scene, both photos are sent to Scene and then to the configured AI video provider, Replicate or fal, to generate the video. Generation does not happen entirely on your device.

Scene does not save source portraits in its application database or create a reusable face library. The database stores your selected scene, status, timestamps, provider request references and the location of the generated video. Providers process submitted photos and videos under their own data practices.

Unsubmitted web previews are discarded when the tab is refreshed or closed. The mobile app uses temporary local photo files while you create and attempts to remove prepared copies when they are replaced or the creator is closed. Your original photo-library images are not deleted.

Availability, sharing and deletion

Videos and share links expire 55 minutes after submission, including generation time. Download your finished video promptly.

Your library is private to your account. If you create a share link, anyone with that link can view the video until it expires or you revoke it. Deleting a scene removes access through Scene and revokes its links. This does not erase copies someone has downloaded or independently saved.

Scene access deadlines and provider deletion are separate. Replicate documents automatic removal of API prediction inputs, outputs and logs after about one hour by default. With fal, Scene requests no stored request/response history, private media access and a seven-day media lifetime. Scene does not promise immediate deletion of provider-held copies when you delete a scene.

Account and service information

We use your email, display name, password hash or linked sign-in identity, and session records to operate your account. Creation records provide your library and track generation limits. Support messages can include your report text and optional app, device and operating-system details.

Where enabled, email services deliver account messages and selected subscriptions; push services use a device push token; diagnostics and analytics services receive technical errors and usage events. Optional payments use the configured payment service or app store and create transaction and entitlement records. These services are not all enabled in every beta build. Scene does not receive your full card details from an app-store purchase.

We use this information to provide creation and account features, respond to support requests, troubleshoot problems and prevent abuse. Hosting and configured service providers process the information needed for those functions.

Your controls

You can download available videos before expiry, revoke share links, and export your account data from Account. The account export contains creation metadata, not copies of your videos. You can request account deletion through Account on the web or Settings in the app.

Account deletion removes your account and creation records and revokes access and links. Some deidentified operational or financial records and abuse-prevention records remain; payment, email or other provider cleanup can be processed separately. Deletion does not retract downloaded videos. Available email preferences and device notification settings let you manage optional communications.
